Most years we organise overseas and/or interstate diving trips. Recent trips have been:
- 2009 - Sulawesi (Indonesia)
- 2008 - Bali (indonesia), Jervis Bay (NSW), and South West Rocks (NSW)
- 2007 - Palau
- 2006 - Coral Sea, Great Barrier Reef, Eden
- 2005 - Truk Lagoon, Eden
On these dive trips we have had up to 30 members travelling. Some of these dive vactations are run in conjucntion with other dive clubs. All of them have been outstanding successes.
In 2007 we had an overseas trip to Palau in May which fillied fast. We also scheduled other dive trips for later in the year. In 2008 we went to Bali (indonesia) as well as Jervis Bay (NSW) and South West Rocks (NSW). In 2009 we had two major trips away scheduled- a liveaboard to Sulewesi (Indonesia) which was a great success and a Southern Great Barrier Reef trip in September which was cancelled because the boat went out of service.
VSAG dive trips are tailored to our needs. You get to do what you want to do at the right price. We do not load up the trip with extra $ to cover the dive organiser's costs and we pass on any discounts we receive. This normally equates to a discounte price of at least 15% less than the cost if you organised it yourself. In some cases it is more than 25% less than an identical dive shop organised trip.
Best of all, you get to travel with friends, with people who you have already dived with and know.
VSAG recommends that all divers participating in overseas and interstate trips have current DAN Membership. Even on trips away, we always abide by the club motto of "Safety in Diving" and follow the club's Safety Diving Guidelines.
