Diving Certifications
Anyone with a recognised scuba diving certification is welcome to join VSAG. However, to get the best value from a VSAG membership and diving with VSAG you should hold an Advanced Open Water, or equivalent, certification. Many VSAG dives exceed the recommended 18 metre depth limit for Open Water divers.
Private boat owners are especially welcome.

New Diver Days
VSAG regularly conducts New Diver Days so that you can find out what it is like to go diving with VSAG. A New Diver Day typically involves a morning boat dive, followed by lunch out on the water, and then an afternoon boat dive. On a New Diver Day, you will be asked to contribute $20 towards the costs of the boat owner for the day. (VSAG can provide you with a second cylinder for the day.)
To participate in a New Diver Day, you will be required to complete a VSAG Request to Dive Form. Dives undertaken on New Diver Days are typically considered as your check/tryout dives if you subsequently apply for membership of VSAG within an appropriate time period.
Please keep in mind that whilst diving with VSAG you will be required to follow the VSAG Safety Diving Guidelines. So please come suitably equipped and prepared.
