Use this wave data as a guide and basically plan to dive in less than 1.5 metres significant swells. The wave buoy is situated to the east of the Port Phillip Bay Heads (i.e. the Point Nepean side). It typically records slightly higher swell heights than the Western side.

Plan to cancel diving outside when the significant wave height is above 1.5 metres.
