Does anyone know what the registration requirements are for inflatable boats? Friend asked me about 3.2 metres and whether a licence was required - I didn't know.
I think the boat would have an engine (like 10-15HP) but I'm not sure on the rest.

Go to the vicroads website and the answer is YES to both questions. If a boat is capable of propulsion it has to be registered and seaworthy, and the driver of any motor boat requires a licence.

Good luck with your future boat plans.
Ok thanks Shadow I'll have a look. I didn't know that VicRoads looked after the licencing for boats - here I was thinking it'll be Marine something of Victoria
