Folks the wind gods did us no favours for Good Friday, however 3 boats with 12 divers dived on the various reefs off Queenscliff.
Conditions were less than ideal as we arrived at the boat ramps and hopes were not high for a great day out. On arriving at the dive spot, the choppy seas were not so bad, and gearing up was alright.
2 of the boats dived Magic Reef and it lived up to its name. Visability was probably only 8 metres, but the topography and fish life were superb. Indeed, magic. The 3rd boat dived closer to Shortlands Bluff on good terain.
After lunch at Popes Eye, some had a second dive there whilst others ventured out the Sponge Gardens for a drift dive. Once again all thoroughly enjoyable, especially considering the choppy seas.
It was indeed a Good Friday!
