Just a brief note to let you all know that the Anzac Day Night Dive to Portsea Hole was a raging success.
Despite a dozen divers being away at Jervis Bay and 4 others having dived earlier in the day we still pulled a reasonable crowd of keen VSAGers.
Seven divers made up the crew on the Midnight Raider and all had a great dive exploring the wall to an average depth of 22-24 metres. Many fish sleeping and awake, sleeping wobbegong sharks and a riot of colour was the order of the day. The sea was calm and the water clear, although a tad cool.
After the dive we assembled at the dive captains house for beer and pizza (champers for some) and degassed in comfort.
We will be organizing another night boat dive over the coming months - probably to the Eliza Ramsden. Don't miss it.
