The predicted 30 knots Northerly winds did not deter the boats of Peter Briggs and John Lawler for the scheduled dive on Sunday 17th Feb.The North wind in fact did not start to kick in until well into the day!
Chris Llewelleyn called in from his new Mustang Cruiser out from Rosebud early to tell us that the bay was calm and briliant... well yes this was right on!!!!
The two VSAG boats had seven divers all up and Charlie Brincat (non diver today) was boat captain on Signature One, givng the fours divers on this boat the chance to all dive together... great!!
First dive was on the briliant "Lonsdale Wall"... the dive was timed for slack ebb water and we hit the timing right on the nose... an exciting dive.
Second dive on the outer reefs west of Point Lonsdale.
VSAG linked up with the Getunder Dive Club for our second dive in the area they were diving around... this was a brilliant dive site!
The full Dive Report will apear in the next editon of Fathoms.
Alan Storen put this dive together and it will go down as one of the best VSAG has had for at least... well since Alan's last one the week prior!!!!
After the dive everyone headed off to The Scuba Doctor in Rye for air fills and a few refreshing drinks. We even had cheese, crackers and suishi laid on for us.
