Easter at The Prom 2007 |
 |
|
Well folks easter has come and gone and for those of you that didn't turn up - Shame, Shame, Shame.
Fantastic weather, sunny days, light winds, clear water, magnificent diving, no rain this year and over 25 divers in the water from our colllection of 4 boats.
Dives were at locations as varied as: the Northern tip of Great Glennie Island, The Pinnacles off the southern tip, Wattle Island, Skull Rock and even a splash with the seals off Kanowna Island. All in 17C clear water and with one minor exception - no current! The Monday dive was conducted in seas so smooth we could have easily water skied out to the Island.
A few Abalone were liberated along with a handful of crayfish. Fish life was plentiful and the seals playful, although one bull seal took umbrage at my presence and started to bite me before I clubbed him gently on the nose with my contents gauge.
The night life was a moving feast of parties, cooking demos and sadly a sing along. Some lucky members are still there as I write this, and a dive is planned for Tues morning.
For a full report, grab yor next edition of Fathoms, and if you weren't there - Shame, Shame, Shame.
