I've never dived Cottage by the Sea and I'm not familiar with any of the shore dive sites on the Bellarine Peninsula side so this was to be our first toe in the water there.
We looked at the weather and decided as we don't know the conditions it probably wouldn't be all that smart to dive in what could be rough conditions. You are right however it would have been a good days diving if we had!
I checked the various surf and coast cams during the day and it looked a magnificient day down there - real bummer we didn't go.
We're planning on going this Sunday now and unless conditions are exceptionally bad then I think it's a goer.
From what I've read Cottage is best dived on the ebb tide round slack water so this is the plan at the moment. If my friend Ron brings his camera I might post some pictures for you guys.
