Lonsdale Wall, Sat 17th March Sun, 18 Mar 2007 10:11 PM Posted by Shadow The planned dive to Nepean Wall had to be re-arranged to the Lonsdale Wall due to the strong S-W winds whipping thru the heads. Despite the sloppy conditions we managed to get all 9 divers on the Rip drop off in clear blue water. Brilliant dive, massing fish, sensational clarity and awesome ledges and drop-offs. Even the odd seal to entertain us at 30 meters. We punched our way thru sloppy chop to the Eye for a relaxed lunch. Some did a second dive there, whilst the rest of us decided to wimp out and head home. Nearing the Sorrento Ramp we encounterd a huge school of dolphins with estimates varying wildly from thousands down to only 3 or 4. A baby with its mother was the highlight. Another great day out - hope we didn't make the new people too sea sick to enjoy the diving. Interesting to note that only 3 of the 9 divers have been with the club longer than 12 months.
