It started a tad windy and to be honest it wasn't very promising, but, 9 divers finished up having a ball diving the Coogee and then later the reef off Shortlands Bluff.

1st dive was scheduled for slack water Flood inside the Bay, however the wind was pushing 25-35 kts from the north and making life very uncomfortable. We sent one boat outside to see if conditions were any better in the open ocean and he reported that a dive on the Coogee was feasible.

Although a short sharp chop made gearing up challenging we soon had 7 divers down and viz was at least 12 meters and the fish life (as usual) excellent. After retrieving the last diver we sheltered out of the breeze at Cottage By the Sea and planned a drift to finish off the day.

We were pleasantly surprised that the viz for the drift was equal to the earlier dive even though it was now approaching low tide. The 2 different spots the boats picked were very impressive and all divers on the day were stoked by the quality of the dives.

As usual a few of the crew de-gassed at the Sorrento Hotel. Yet another great day on the water.
